Fostering design thinking, the Interior Design Show (IDS) Vancouver believes great design is considerate, responsible and worth it. Connecting talent, story and substance, we create space to ignite innovation and celebrate design tradition.
We are honoured to welcome individual designers, artists, makers and design-centric brands who have come together in Vancouver to showcase their current works, concepts and products. In addition to experiencing installations and features, there will also be opportunities to hear from some of the design world’s most notable and talented personalities and connect with a long list of world-class designers that either call Vancouver home, or call on Vancouver for inspiration.
The land on which IDS Vancouver takes place is the unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
The Interior Design Show is returning to Vancouver this fall in a new format and with the extended dates of October 1 to 8.
IDS Vancouver was set to take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre, but due to COVID-19 and the BC Government’s ban on all major events, festivals, and public gatherings of over 50 people until further notice, IDS Vancouver 2020 will feature online and offline events hosted in more intimate venues around Vancouver.
“IDS Vancouver’s mission is to support the design industry up and down the West Coast,” says IDS Vancouver Director, Jody Phillips. “After consulting with key stakeholders in the industry, we have made the decision to not cancel or postpone the event, but to reimagine it as a completely new hybrid experience.”
